OUR STORY
IdaNess began with a simple question: what would a scent feel like if it were made for quiet rather than attention?
We started blending in a small studio, working with a short list of oils and a long list of notes on how each one behaved after an hour on skin, in a warm room, on a cold evening. What we kept were the blends that stayed close and calm — the ones you notice when you slow down, not the ones that arrive before you do.
That approach still shapes everything we make. Our essential oil blends are built around a clear top, heart and base, so they open softly and settle rather than fade. Our candles use a natural coconut and soy wax blend that burns evenly and carries scent gently through a room. Our burners are made from stoneware, porcelain and clay, finished by hand so no two pieces are identical.
We are a small team. We answer our own emails, pack our own orders and taste-test every batch before it is listed. If something is not right, we would rather delay a launch than send it out.

SMALL BATCHES
Every blend is mixed, rested and bottled in limited runs. Nothing is made faster than it needs to be, and nothing leaves us until the scent has settled.
HONEST SOURCING
We buy directly from growers and distillers wherever we can, ask for the harvest and the origin, and pay for quality rather than volume.
CLEAN FORMULAS
No phthalates, no synthetic dyes, no unnecessary fillers. Our candles use a natural coconut and soy wax blend with cotton wicks.
MADE TO LAST
Our stoneware and porcelain burners are finished by hand and designed to be kept, refilled and used for years.
HOW WE BLEND
A blend usually starts as a place or a moment rather than a formula — a harbour at first light, a room after rain, a market at dusk. From there we build outwards: the opening notes that greet you, the heart that holds the character, and the base that stays behind once everything else has gone.
Each trial rests for several weeks so the oils can marry. We test in different rooms, at different temperatures, and with different people, and we only keep a blend when it still feels right on the tenth day.
Our oils are supplied in 10 ml amber glass, sized for burners, diffusers and warm water. Candles and burners follow the same restraint: quiet materials, no decoration for its own sake, and finishes that age well.
